Myron III appoints Jauford, son-in-law to the former King, as King of Greyfield and Vesop (while extending 'Greyfield' to the Trefel border). Prince Fenwin is essentially stripped of land and title but is promised political appointments in the Imperial Seat.
Myron III marries King Jauford's daughter Faye to his brother Frundhul in order to create a royal family connection.
Mark travels to Trefel as courtier and ambassador. His father, King Jauford, wants to establish immediate diplomatic connections with Trefel in the case that the transition to Myron IV/Frundhul's rule goes awry.
Fearing Fenwin is returning to usurp the throne, King Hollwick has Prince Fenwin placed under house arrest at an estate in north Vesop.
Cyfurrel promises Lynn that he will attempt to secure Prince Fenwin's release from captivity but treads lightly with the matter and the Greyfield King... Cyfurrel needs Jauford's financial and military support to help ensure a steady transition to power and does not want to take any demanding stance or action that may compromise that support.
Lynn moves to north Vesop, joining her husband, Prince Fenwin, in house arrest under King Jauford Hollwick.
Cyfurrel travels to Greyfield Castle and negotiates Prince Fenwin's and Lynn's release with King Jauford Hollwick.
King Hollwick agrees to release Fenwin under guarantee from Cyfurrel that Hollwick's son, Jorge, will take the throne of Greyfield or his family will rule Greyfield otherwise after his death. Cyfurrel also pays a ransom of gold and silk.
King Jauford Hollwick petitions Emperor Cyfurrel to intervene on his behalf and apprehend Fenwin in the Vesop Woods as fulfillment of his oath.
Lynn convinces her sister Delsa to convince her son, Emperor Cyfurrel, to not intervene on behalf of King Hollwick in Greyfield against Fenwin.
Cyfurrel agrees to only mediate the situation between Prince Fenwin and King Hollwick if Jauford Hollwick surrenders Vesop to Fenwin - otherwise he will let them fight it out as they see fit. Cyfurrel stands by his promise to assure the Hollwick line control of Greyfield, but refuses to make any such promise regarding Vesop.
King Hollwick refuses any agreement with Fenwin.
King Jauford Hollwick dies from old age, never knowing of his son's death.
