Pavel (1386-NA)
Father: Fenwin Mother: Lynn
Son of Fenwin and Lynn
Pavel is born.
Fenwin, without duties or responsibilities, returns to Greyfield leaving Lynn, Pavel, and Erwin at the Imperial Seat.
Pavel and Erwin move to Errfulfel City in Delsa's custody.
Fenwin leads an expedition to the Havrik Islands. He travels down the Errfulfel River from Errfulfel City and across the Trepid Inlet to Delco where they briefly pause to prepare for the bulk of the intercontinental journey. His son Pavel travels with him.
Pavel marries Mabel, daughter of the merchant Herber.
Julia is born to Pavel and Mabel.
Pavel, Mabel, and Julia travel to Teymon in Merrod.
Pavel establishes a trade house, Teymon Herber Trade House, in Teymon under the name of his father-in-law and begins importing Enhold Mountain iron ingots refined in Errfulfel City from the Errfulfel City Herber Trade House and exporting manufactured silk and Merrod ale back. The Teymon Herber Trade House is a subsidiary of the larger Merrod Trades Guild and Pavel learns from their trade masters- and operates under their permission and protection, at a cost.
Mica is born.
Nearly bankrupted from paying Fenwin's troops' wages, Herber is forced to cease Pavel's Teymon Herber Trade House operations in Teymon and ship goods through the Merrod Trades Guild instead.
Pavel sends his family to Errfulfel City to live with Herber, then travels to Myron II's Fall and joins his father, Fenwin.
Fenwin secures funding from the Greyfield Casot School to purchase two river boats and travels with Pavel and his 401 remaining men up the River Grey to the Torreson Casot School. Kergin and one other mercenary do not make the journey with him.
Pavel travels with Herber to Cyfurrel City and opens the Vesop Trade House. The Vesop Trade House, being one of the first of its kind int he newly designated import place of the empire expands its tradebase quickly, forecasting a lucrative trade in importing wine, ale, silk, silver, and lumber while exporting iron ingots and minted gold.
Pavel travels to Vesop and takes Fenwin's troops.
Trefmott leads his own force, along with Pavel, against Greyfield Castle for the second time in two years.
Completely without supply of proper garrison, King Camder is forced to surrender Greyfield Castle quickly to Trefmott's and Pavel's siege force. Camder escapes.
Pavel spends much of the year putting down minor rebellions in south Vesop.
Pavel returns to Cyfurrel City and the Vesop Trade House to find it mismanaged and doing poorly. The manager lost most of the competitive market leads and only had a decent hold on wine imports from the South West.
Pavel arranges to have Herber travel through Durnhall to the Dranmeck Sea, around the continent to the Caleronia Sea, then through the Lowlands to Merrod and finally to Teymon.
Pavel attempts to regain control of various import and export markets with the Vesop Trade House to little success.
Dulmer is born. Son of Pavel and Mabel.
Herber reopens the Teymon Herber Trade House in Teymon; this time as an independent organization-not a permitted subsidiary of the Merrod Trades Guild- sporting an exclusive silk and Merrod ale contract with the Vesop Trade House run by Pavel in Cyfurrel City.
The Vesop Trade House, by order of King Fenwin, is the only organization permitted to import silk or Merrod Ale to Vesop from Cyfurrel City through Pavel. Fenwin convinces Lord Trefmott to accept limited Greyfield import contracts from Teymon with the Teymon Herber Trade House through Herber for silk and Merrod ale in King Garret's name.
The Vesop Trade House and Teymon Herber Trade House manage to earn more combined wealth for the year than the entirety of Vesop's collected taxes, to Pavel and Herber's delight.
Pavel travels to Teymon and reestablishes the Teymon Herber Trade House (maintaining the Herber name). He hires mercenary guards out of Trefel and the Fenhall Plains to protect the establishment.
Pavel hires the most trustworthy trader in Merrod that he knows, Dram Cullfen, a former accountant for the Merrod Trades Guild and a Teymon local, to manage the Teymon Herber Trade House. Pavel knew Dram from when the Teymon Herber Trade House was a subsidiary of the Merrod Trades Guild.
Pavel returns to Cyfurrel City.
Pavel travels to Vesop with his family.
Pavel names his son, Dulmer, King Fenwin II of Vesop. He intentionally bypasses himself as ruler.
Erwin is disappointed that Pavel passed the King title down a generation, rather than over, but does not press the issue and swears support to King Fenwin II.
Pavel names Erwin protector of Dulmer and tasks him with the King's safekeeping. Pavel and Erwin together hire a number of administrators and lords out of Cyfurrel City to act as Dulmer's tutors and mentors and advisers.
Pavel returns to Cyfurrel City.
Pavel travels to Teymon under heavy guard with a brief stop on the way at Fort Rupert in Vesop.
Pavel helps Dram Cullfen at the Teymon Herber Trade House while Dram recovers from his injuries in Teymon.
Pavel pays a small fortune to Teymon officials and Merrod lords to buy protection for the Teymon Herber Trade House.
Pavel returns to Cyfurrel City under heavy guard.
Pavel provides accommodation for his wife Mabel and son Dulmer in Cyfurrel City and sends a stern warning to his brother Erwin in Vesop.
